New, Tahoe Model ‘X” Xguitar Jumbo – This is the guitar shown on the home page with the horse inlays. It’s a 25.4″ scale cutaway, with a five piece honduras mahogany neck, and the bound fingerboard measuring 1-3/4″ at the nut. Top is well silked perfectly quartered Adirondack spruce, and the scalloped bracing is also Adirondack. The back and sides are made from a really splendid piece of Indian Rosewood. Fingerboard, bridge, and peghead veneer are gaboon ebony. Bindings are flamed maple. Nut and saddle are bleached bone. Rosette and peghead inlays are green abalone, while the horse inlays are made of white, gold, and black mother of pearl. Like all my guitars, this one has a rich ringing voice with loads of overtone and sustain. It’s equipped with a small ” shoulder” soundhole so you can hear it better. It’s a big unit at 20-1/4″ long and 16-3/4″ across the lower bout. See ‘Models & Features’ page for full spec’s on the measurements. Action is fret high at the nut, and about 7/64″ tall on the Lo E at the 12th fret. I always leave the action a scooch high so I can adjust it to the buyer’s needs. Please contact me regarding the price of this guitar. All of the profit will go to the Let ’em Run Foundation, a non-profit group working to save some of Nevada’s wild horses.
